This drill focuses on developing the attacking skills of rugby league players, particularly in identifying and exploiting gaps in the defence. Players will practice making quick decisions and executing effective plays to break down the opposition's defence.
How to Perform
1Set up a rectangular area with cones, approximately 10-15 meters wide and 20-25 meters long.
2Divide players into two teams: attackers and defenders. The attackers will start at one end of the area, while the defenders will start at the other end.
3The attackers will begin by running towards the defenders, who will be standing in a line, approximately 5-7 meters apart.
4As the attackers approach the defenders, they will identify a gap in the defence and make a decision to attack it.
5The attackers will then execute a play, using footwork and agility to beat the defenders and break through the gap.
