This drill focuses on improving players' agility, quick decision-making, and tackle technique. It simulates a scenario where a player needs to quickly change direction and make a tackle on an opponent.
How to Perform
1Set up a 10x10m square area with cones, divided into two halves.
2Player 1 starts at one end of the square, Player 2 at the other end.
3On the coach's signal, Player 1 starts jogging towards Player 2.
4At the midpoint, the coach calls out a direction (e.g., 'left' or 'right').
5Player 1 must quickly change direction and sprint to the corresponding side of the square.
6Player 2, acting as a ball carrier, runs towards the midpoint and then changes direction based on Player 1's movement.
